This tour is based in Mayrhofen in the heart of the Ziller Valley. Our 4 star hotel is in the centre of the village and offers great facilities including a luxury spa and indoor swimming pool. This tour features a train ride on the Ziller Valley Railway, the Anchensee Steam Railway and a boat trip on Lake Achensee.
YOUR HOTEL:
The hotel is located right in the heart of Mayrhofen. It offers well appointed rooms, restaurant, bar and indoor swimming pool. Entertainment in the hotel bar occassionally. All rooms with private facilities and a lift.
YOUR ITINERARY:
Day 1. Depart for our first overnight at Liege.
Day 2. Enter Germany and onto Austria and Mayrhofen.
Day 3. A day at leisure in Mayrhofen. It is possible to take a cable car into the mountains to enjoy great views.
Day 4. An excursion to Innesbruck, capital of the Tyrol, where the Golden Roof, Imperial Palace and Hofkirche can all be found near the city centre. In the afternoon return to Mayrhofen and an included steam train journey on the Zillertalbahn from Jenbach.
Day 5. A scenic day over the spectacular Gerlos Pass to Krimml to see one of Europe’s most spectacular waterfalls. Continue to Kitzbuhel and return to Mayrhofen.
Day 6. Depart for Jenbach and then join the Achensee Steam Train for the climb up to Lake Achensee. We then include a short cruise to Pertissau where there will be time for refreshments and enjoying the marvellous lkeside location.
Day 7. Leave Austria for our overnight in Belgium.
Day 8. Depart for Calais and home.
