YOUR HOTEL:

Ideally located in the heart of the village is the 3 star hotel Alpen Roc. This typical chalet style hotel offers a wonderful lounge bar with central fireplace and panoramic view of the village. The hotel has an indoor pool, sauna and Turkish bath. All rooms provided bath/shower, satellite TV, telephone and hairdryer.

YOUR ITINERARY:

Day 1.    Depart for short ferry crossing to Calais and onto our overnight hotel in France.
Day 2.    Travel through the heart of the Burgundy region and towards the French Alps and the village of La Clusaz for our 5 nights.

Day 3. Today takes us to Lake Annecy, known as the Venice of the Alps. Visit the old town enchanted by its canals and arcade houses with many coloured facades.

Day 4. Todays visit takes us to Chamonix, nestling beneath the Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in Europe. Wander through the narrow streets and pretty squares, before taking the rack railway to the galciers on the slopes of Mont Blanc, view the sculptures of the ice grotto and the sea of ice, an unforgettable view.

Day 5. Enjoy a day at leisure. It is market day in La Clusaz so perhaps stoll to the local market in the morning or just relax at the hotel and soak up the views.

Day 6. Excursion to Lake Du Bourget along with a stop in the spa town of Aix Les Baines.

Day 7. We sadly bid farewell to the French Alps and head north to our overnight in France.

Day 8. Following breakfast we travel to Calais for our return journey home.
